Drainage Studies
We can prepare detention analysis for complex, multi-basin commercial and residential developments, conveyance mitigation for encroachments into streams, flood plain fill mitigation for development in Special Flood Hazard Areas, and capacity allocations for existing closed conduit and channel systems.
We are innovators in the use of Geographic Information Systems for land use impacts on hydrologic basin characteristics; off-site flow determinations; flood plain fill volume calculations; and channel modification impacts.

Public Works
Grounds Anderson, LLC has prepared Construction Documents for public utilities including water lines, storm sewer lines and outfalls, open channels, sanitary sewer lines and street improvements such as left-turn lanes and traffic control plans for improvements in the public ROW. We have prepared detailed plans including Plan and Profile Drawings, Specifications, and Permit Applications.
We have prepared impact analysis for City of Houston water line crossings of HCFCD channels; Harris County street improvements; Drainage Impact Analysis for HCTRA; a Benchmark Control Network for the City of Sugar Land; and participated in the Master Drainage Plan at Bush-Intercontinental Airport.

Site
Grounds Anderson, LLC is qualified to prepare construction documents for civil site improvements for industrial, commercial, and mixed use developments. The improvements include the design of paving, park lots, grading/drainage plans, water lines, sanitary sewer collection and lift stations, storm water collection systems, detention ponds, storm water pollution prevention plans, storm water quality plans, and traffic control plans. Ground Anderson, LLC is proficient in producing plan and profile drawings for various utility crossings where conflicts might arise.
Grounds Anderson, LLC has worked successfully with various Design/Building teams on numerous civil site improvement projects. The firm has completed projects in various jurisdictions all over the State of Texas. Grounds Anderson, LLC is proficient in the various Federal, State, County and City regulations and criteria. In addition, the firm is skilled in International Building Code and the Texas Accessibility Standards.
We have three licensed or registered Professional Engineers in the State of Texas capable of signing and/or sealing the work performed under this project. We have two professionals that are skilled in plan and specification production.
The employees at Grounds Anderson, LLC have designed Civil Site Improvements for residential and site developments throughout the State of Texas including Houston and Dallas-Fort Worth. These improvements include:
• Water Line Extensions, Service Lines, and Meters
• Sanitary Sewer Collection Systems and Grit/Oil/Water Separators
• Storm Water Collection Systems including Culverts and Open Channels Detention Ponds
• Floodplain Fill Mitigation, No-Rise Certifications, and Flood Proofing Parking Lots
• Landscaping
• Minor Roadways
We have provided services from the Due Diligence through the Construction Phase providing the Client permitting assistance with the City of Houston, Harris County, Harris County Flood Control District, Montgomery County, Fort Bend County, City of Sugarland, Dallas County, Federal Emergency Management Agency, Texas Department of Transportation, and the US Army Corps of Engineers.

GIS
Grounds Anderson, LLC has assisted FEMA in the development of DFIRM standards, assisted the Harris County Flood Control District in enhancing their geodatabase, performed forensics with historic aerial photography to determine the location and condition of structures, assisted in the preparation of a countywide impervious cover mapping in Bexar County, Texas, pioneered the use of LiDAR in Special Flood Hazard Area and Inundation Mapping in the Texas Gulf Coast, and tracked changes in a developing subdivision.
We continue to innovate our tools and approaches to utilizing GIS in determining hydrologic parameters for use in hydrologic computer modeling in HEC-GeoHMS; channel cross sections for use in HEC-GeoRAS, Watershed Modeling with the ArcHydro Extension; Inundation and Special Flood Hazard Area Mapping with the Spatial Analyst Extension; and creating visually stunning presentations with the 3D Extension.

Floodplain Plans
Grounds Anderson, LLC has prepared Flood Plain Fill Mitigation Plans, “No-Rise” Certifications, and Conveyance Analyses in support of development in and around Special Flood Hazard Areas in the City of Houston, Harris County, the City of Pasadena, League City, and the Memorial Villages. We have successfully worked with individual homeowners and large scale subdivisions in creating mitigation plans that keep the development and the public reasonable safe from flooding. Our plans are integral to the land plans to allow for shared facilities with detention ponds, recreational facilities, and green space.
We utilize the latest in technology such as GIS, LiDAR, and remotely sensed data to provide accurate and cost effective plans.
We are exceedingly familiar with regulations for development in flood plains and have assisted local communities in developing ordinances and review National Flood Insurance Program participating communities across the State of Texas. This allows us to minimize review time to obtain permits and get the project under construction.

Community
Grounds Anderson, LLC brings stakeholders together through Information Fairs, Public Meetings, Conferences, and Workshops. We can develop the appropriate content for the audience and explain highly technical or mundane content the lay public. We have facilitated the acquisition of meeting space, audio-visual equipment, meals and coffee breaks, and special needs of attendees and speakers. Our personnel have been local, state, and national leaders in professional societies such as AWRA, TFMA, and ASCE that specialize in communication related to water resources and flood plain management.

Workshops
Grounds Anderson, LLC has developed numerous workshops on subjects such as flood plain management, hydraulics, hydrology, geographic information systems, and cartography for the lay public, engineers, architects, surveyors, flood plain determination specialists, City, State, and Federal personnel, and college students.
Flood Plain Management 101 has been taught by Grounds Anderson, LLC on behalf of the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality, the Texas Flood Plain Management Association, Texas Colorado River Flood Coalition, the American Society of Civil Engineers, and the Texas Society of Professional Surveyors. The course provides an overview of the requirement.

Green
Grounds Anderson, LLC can analyze impacts to water quality and design appropriate improvements to not only mitigate the impact but to enhance the environment and quality of life of the facility users. We have designed water quality features to remove float-able debris; capture sediment and hydrocarbons; improve channel stability reducing erosion or accretion; and incorporate aesthetics to enhance the appearance of detention ponds and provide sustainable green space.
